There is a woman I love

There is a woman that I love
A woman that I let go every once in a while
Scared of her breaking my heart

There is a woman that I love
“I’m through,” I never say
I’d just rush out of her house unsure of when I’d return

There is a woman that I love
Away from her, my heart aches
Unable to deal with the pain from the world

There is a woman that I love
Whom I rush back to when the pain subsides not
And “You’re back,” she’ll say, and smile
As she sees me on her doorstep

There is a woman that I love
“Why do you always let me go?” she’ll never say
She opens her arms wide and takes away the pain in my heart

There is a woman in my heart
Who waits for me to return
